- How do you currently work? – What do you do at work? How do you do it? Where do you spend your time?
- What is Working? – What do you like about your current setup? What works really well for you?
- What would you like to change? – What isn't working so well? Where is there room for improvement? What would you like to be different about your space?
- What tools do you use? – What tools are you using? Do you use a docking stations? A laptop? Do you have access to a separate monitor? What is your phone setup… a handheld? Landline? Do you have an articulating keyboard? How about a height-adjustable table?
- What storage needs do you have? – Are you a paper person or more digital? Will this space be dedicated to a single person… or unassigned and used by multiple team members. Will you have personal or sensitive items in your space that you would need to secure with a lock and key? What kind of items do you keep in your space?
- What kind of meetings do you have in your space? – Will you conduct meetings in your space? What types of meetings do you normally have? How many people will attend? How long will the meetings be? Will others need to be able to see your computer screens or present content of their own? How important is audio and visual privacy during these meetings?
- What does wellness mean to you? – How much do you like to change your working position during the day? Do you use or have you used a HAT? What type of chair are you currently using? How much natural light is in your office?
Ultimately, you want to understand how the space user does what they do and leverages the space so that you can make the best recommendations to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
