With many businesses and employees returning back to the workplace, we want to discuss some must haves for creating a safe and comfortable work environment for your team. Understanding what your team needs to be feel comfortable, safe and do their best work in the workplace. These are just some of the questions many business owners are navigating as we slowly return back to the workplace. With that said, here are some trends that Affordable Office Interiors is seeing for the path back to the office.

Installing Acrylic Screens for Safety

A Flexible Solution for the Office – In our efforts to ensure that businesses have solutions that are easy to setup, easy to clean and even easier to take down when and if needed, Acrylic Panels are a perfect solution. These panels are made of durable acrylic and will ensure your employees feel safe and comfortable as they work.

Creating Privacy with Panels

Taller workstation dividers and panels are something that look to become commonplace in the post-pandemic workplace.

Many businesses can use higher panels in areas with high foot traffic and in-person interactions. This design concept can be used in workstations or in hallways to separate people and maintain social distance guidelines. It may come to be that this overall design concept become permanent in the new office norm.

“I think that taller panels, more spacing and to be a partner in the “Work From Home” movement is key.” Ron Shaw, New Business Development,

Creating More Open Space

For many businesses, large, communal spaces are going unused to comply with social distancing guidelines. These spaces include larger conference rooms, cafeterias and employee lounges. Rather than avoiding these rooms altogether, businesses can repurpose the rooms as temporary workspaces so employees can spread out. Furthermore, if your company has space outside, you can move employees outdoors with weather permitting.

“I think the must haves are mostly psychological in addition to physical. Safe spaces consist of more division and space for employees to move around without close contact. Some spaces will not allow for this, however if psychologically we can provide barriers and definite aisles and spaces so employees feel safe even if the space does not allow for 6′ of personal space.” Nicole Wynkoop, Director of Design,
